Community financial records and services

What we offer

Three services, shaped around how community finances actually work

Each service addresses a specific part of community accounting — and many organizations find that two or three together give them everything they need.

How to think about these services

Community finances tend to have three distinct layers: the day-to-day recording of what comes in and goes out; the careful separation of funds that have been given for specific purposes; and the annual process of presenting a clear account to members and any relevant authority.

Each of our services addresses one of these layers. Some organizations begin with one and add others as they grow. Others come to us needing all three at once. There is no required package — you take what is useful.

Which service fits your situation?

A few common situations and the services that tend to help most.

We are a small congregation with straightforward monthly giving
Service 01 — Donation & Giving Bookkeeping — is likely all you need to begin with. It keeps your monthly records clear and your treasurer properly supported. If you hold an annual general meeting, adding Service 03 once a year is straightforward.
We have several funds — a building appeal, a youth programme, general giving
Services 01 and 02 together cover this well. Service 01 records all income and expenditure; Service 02 maintains the separation between your funds so that the building appeal never accidentally funds the wrong thing. Adding Service 03 at year-end gives you a complete picture for your members.
We need to present accounts at our AGM and our records are in a mixed state
Service 03 — Annual Accounts & Member Reporting — is the right starting point. We work through the year's records with your treasurer, prepare accounts in a presentable form, and produce a plain-language summary for your meeting. Many organizations then continue with Services 01 and 02 to keep things orderly through the following year.
We have a new treasurer who is not sure where to begin
Any of our services include support for the person in the treasurer role. We explain what we are doing, why, and what they should expect from the records we maintain. Service 01 is a natural starting point — it builds a clear picture that a new treasurer can understand and work from.

What happens after you get in touch

There is no complicated sales process. Here is what to expect.

01

A short conversation

We exchange a few messages or have a brief call to understand your organization — its size, its funds, and what has been difficult up to now.

02

A clear proposal

We suggest which service or combination fits your situation and confirm the cost in writing. No pressure to proceed, and no obligation.

03

A settled beginning

Once you decide to proceed, we agree a start date and get the records set up properly before anything else. No rushing, no assumption.

Not sure which service is right for you?

Send us a brief note about your organization and we will suggest the most suitable starting point. There is no commitment involved — just a helpful conversation.
